Megan and Beau’s wedding on Saturday was such an emotional, loving, and beautiful celebration - filled with happy tears and lots of laughs! Although we had a few sun showers, the skies cleared and the ceremony went on without a hitch (but with a few swigs from Beau’s flask). Here are some sneak peeks from their day!

Herring Cove Provincial Park Reserve (also known as the Herring Cove Bluffs) in Halifax, Nova Scotia is one of my absolute favorite places to shoot portraits - you may have seen it featured in a few other blog posts already. It was the perfect location for Mackie and Jesse’s engagement photos, with just a touch of golden light and a nice breeze to keep the bugs at bay. These two were so comfortable with each other, and the love between them was obvious - such a dream to photograph! Scroll through to see more from their session!

I didn’t get the chance to meet Kirsten and Brayden before their wedding, but I can’t imagine a warmer welcome - these two make up one of the kindest, sweetest couples I’ve had the chance to photograph. They fell in love as teenagers after meeting in their local youth group and haven’t looked back since!
I made the drive to Pictou County on Saturday to photograph their beautiful wedding day, hosted at Parker’s Barn. Their day was filled with emotional and sentimental touches; from the father-daughter first look at Allan Park, to a ring box made from a tree that was planted when Kirsten was born. One of my favorite parts of the day was during their ceremony, they asked the people in their lives who they considered their spiritual leaders to pray over them as they entered a new life together - there were many tears in the crowd (me included!), and I thought it such a beautiful way to pay homage to those who helped them grow together.
Here are some previews from their special day - congratulations Kirsten & Brayden!
