Breanna and Ryan’s wedding at The Farm at South Cove in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia was an absolute dream to be a part of! I had been dying to shoot at this venue since it opened, so when they booked, I definitely did a little happy dance. With only a few weeks of planning (seriously - they pulled this together in roughly 3 weeks!), they organized the most amazing day to share with their closest friends and family.
The day started in the farmhouse on the property where hair and make-up was done, the girls enjoyed some White Claws, and the boys relaxed across the street in the Seaside Cabins (they are seriously so cool!). Breanna was surrounded with so much love from her girls and her mother and mother-in-law to be and read a beautiful letter written from Ryan to her. When she got her dress on, she did a “first look” with her girls and some family members in the farmhouse and their faces said it all! She looked stunning!
During this, my second photographer and right hand gal Alyssa hung out with the boys and grabbed a few shots of them with their favourite beverage - Keith’s! Also, how cool are the customized flasks for the fathers of the betrothed? I ran down after the girls were ready to photograph one of the cutest first looks I have ever seen - Ryan and his adorable little girl Myla, who was such a big part of their special day. Right before the ceremony, Breanna and her father did a first look as well, and made sure to share a beer before she left to say “I do”.
Just as the ceremony began, the sun began shining and created the most beautiful glow! I love capturing the raw emotion - check out Bea’s face as she walks down the aisle, and Ryan’s happy reaction! Their wedding ceremony was short and sweet, and then the guests were off to have some drinks and snacks (I thought it was a great idea to have the pre-packaged snacks they offered their friends and family due to COVID protocols). We snuck away for photos with family and friends, and then continued on exploring the property and the beautiful South Shore, Nova Scotia backdrop for some bride and groom photos. They are such a beautiful couple and I honestly could have kept photographing them for hours!
After photos, the real party began - started off with individual pizzas (YES PLEASE!) and ending with some beautiful first dances and some fun on the dance floor. It was truly a perfect day, and I am grateful to have been a part of it!
Bea and Ryan, you are the definition of a fun-loving and kind-hearted couple in love and I thank you so much for having me there for your beautiful celebration. I wish you a lifetime of laughter and joy, and I hope you cherish these memories forever!
