Another happy day in my email inbox… Sique Magazine’s issue featuring the lovely Maggie Sutherland (of City Models) is out! We shot these images in an amazing AirBnb space in Halifax back in February, and I love the retro vibe we played with. Hair and makeup was provided by the amazing Danielle Grasley Makeup. Herring Cove Provincial Park Reserve (also known as the Herring Cove Bluffs) in Halifax, Nova Scotia is one of my absolute favorite places to shoot portraits - you may have seen it featured in a few other blog posts already. I didn’t get the chance to meet Kirsten and Brayden before their wedding, but I can’t imagine a warmer welcome - these two make up one of the kindest, sweetest couples I’ve had the chance to photograph. They fell in love as teenagers after meeting in their local youth group and haven’t looked back since!
I made the drive to Pictou County on Saturday to photograph their beautiful wedding day, hosted at Parker’s Barn. Their day was filled with emotional and sentimental touches; from the father-daughter first look at Allan Park, to a ring box made from a tree that was planted when Kirsten was born. One of my favorite parts of the day was during their ceremony, they asked the people in their lives who they considered their spiritual leaders to pray over them as they entered a new life together - there were many tears in the crowd (me included!), and I thought it such a beautiful way to pay homage to those who helped them grow together.
Here are some previews from their special day - congratulations Kirsten & Brayden!

Since boudoir can be such an intimate form of photography, it’s rare that I get to share photos from my clients - in this industry, privacy is paramount. Lucky for me, some of the girls from my boudoir event in April loved their photos so much that they have given me permission to share! Here’s some of my favourite shots from Lindsey’s session.
