If you’ve been following along on my Instagram, you may have noticed a tropical theme over the past week - I was away in the Dominican Republic to photograph Ausha and Gregg’s stunning destination wedding! It was a whirlwind trip from a last minute booking, and I’m so happy to have connected with such a wonderful couple who trusted me enough to fly to another country and spend their big day with them. Kristy and Ryan had their wedding at the lovely Beavercreek Winery, a rustic venue in Lawrencetown with over 21 different kinds of wine. I love the thoughtful details in their day, like the chandelier in the ceremony platform, and the thoughtful bouquet charms for loved ones who were there in spirit. I absolutely adored their navy blue and gold color scheme, complemented by Ron’s suit (check out his amazing tie!). They had the CUTEST wedding favors too - they met on Tinder and gave out matchbooks embossed with “it’s a match”! These lovebirds were so filled with love and emotion the whole day, and I feel honored that they chose me to capture it.

Read MorePoint Pleasant Park here in Halifax is one of the most popular requests I get for engagement sessions. It’s a beautiful park, and I try to make each couple’s session feel unique. I had the opportunity to play with more of a film style for this session with Mandy and Stephen and I love how it turned out! These edits are based on vintage films (primarily Delta 3200 and Ektar films) and I think they suit their session perfectly.

Their whole wedding day radiated LOVE; from the father/daughter first look - which brought tears to everyone’s eyes - to their first dance as a married couple, you could feel the warmth and emotion from everyone in attendance. They got married at Oakfield Golf & Country Club, which coincidentally, is where they met and fell in love! Lindsey and I had such a wonderful time cruising around on golf carts (my first time learning to drive them) and capturing this gorgeous day.
